The thread lift procedure uses various forms of barbed suture for the suspension and tightening of drooping facial skin. By inserting barbed threads under the skin, a lifting result is achieved, along with activation of cell repair and collagen regeneration. Thread lifts are far less invasive than traditional facelifts, resulting in minimal discomfort and pain.
The threads used are made of PDO or Polydioxanone, the same material used for surgical sutures since mid-90s.
